Seat Height Adjustment Motor, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove the tunnel-side trim. Refer to TUNNEL-SIDE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD SEAT, SPORT SEAT, SUPER SPORT SEAT .

-- Remove the sill-side trim. Refer to SILL-SIDE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER STANDARD SEAT, WITH OR WITHOUT MEMORY FUNCTION .

-- Disconnect the connector -1- on the height adjustment motor -2-.

-- Release the tension from the torsion bar. Refer to TORSION BAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

The bolt -2- has a left-hand thread.

CAUTION:

Threaded Hole In The Seat Pan May Be Damaged Or Destroyed.

When removing or installing, the tension on the adjusting spindle/seat pan threaded connection must be released.

Risk of damage to the bushing -3- in the bearing point (adjusting spindle/seat pan threaded connection).

The bushing cannot be replaced with workshop materials.
If the bushing is damaged, the corresponding assembly parts must be replaced.

-- Remove the bolt -2- on the seat height adjustment motor adjusting spindle -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -2- for the adjusting spindle -1- for the angle adjustment motor (preset by the manufacturer).

-- Do not damage the bushings -1- inserted in the bearing areas -2- when removing the bolt.

CAUTION:

The Bushings Cannot Be Replaced With Workshop Materials.
If the bushings are damaged, the corresponding assembly parts must be replaced.

-- Tilt the seat pan upper frame -1- upward as far as possible.

-- Support the seat pan upper frame with a suitable wood block -6- on the :VAS6136 -item 2-.

-- Remove the bolts -3- (quantity: 2).

-- Remove the bracket -5- with the height adjustment motor -4- from the seat pan.

-- Remove the screws -1-.
