Entry Assistance Release Cable A, Removing And Installing: Installing

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting a connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

CAUTION:

Make Sure The Backrest Is In The Basic Position, Meaning It Must Be Moved Forward All The Way Using The Handwheel.

-- Engage the >>entry assistance<< release cable A -1- first to the seat forward/back adjuster -2-.

-- Engage the >>entry assistance<< release cable A bracket -2- to the seat forward/back adjuster -1-.

NOTE:

Ignore -3- and -arrow-.

-- Then engage the >>entry assistance<< release cable A -1- to the backrest hinge.

-- Install the >>entry assistance<< release cable A guide -2- on the seat frame.

-- Adjust the >>entry assistance<< release cable A. Refer to ENTRY ASSISTANCE RELEASE CABLE A, ADJUSTING .

The rest of the installation is performed in reverse order of removal. Note The Following:

NOTE:

Make Sure The Connectors Are Installed All The Way And Engage Audibly.

WARNING:

The ignition must be on when connecting the battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone in the vehicle interior when connecting the battery.

-- Connect The Battery Ground Cable With The Ignition Switched On. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

NOTE:

If the Airbag Indicator Lamp -K75- indicates a fault, check the DTC memory, erase it and check it again using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
