Seat Pan Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing, Seat Pan Without Seat Depth Adjuster: Removing

  • Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
  • Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove the front seat:

-- Attach the front seat to the :VAS6136  . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the backrest:

-- Remove the retaining bracket for the sill-side trim:

-- Versions with LATCH child seat anchor (front passenger seat only): remove the LATCH child seat anchor. Refer to FRONT CHILD SEAT ANCHOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Equipment level with storage compartment: remove the storage compartment. Refer to FRONT CENTER CONSOLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the electrical connectors and free them up.

-- Disengage the clamping profiles -3- on the cover using the :3370  in the front and on the side -A and B-.

-- When disengaging the cover, be careful of the exposed retaining hooks -1- on the edge -2-.

-- Disengage both tab hooks -1- on the seat pan -3-.

-- Disengage the clamping profile -6- on the cover using the :3370  near -A-.

-- When disengaging the cover, be careful of the exposed hooks -4- on the edge -5-.

-- Remove the cover and cushion from the seat pan while guiding the seat heating wiring harness at the same time.
