Backrest Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing, Standard/Sport Seat: Removing

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove the front seat:

Standard seat and sport seat (manual). Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, MANUAL .
Standard Seat, Power Sport Seat and Comfort Seat. Refer to POWER FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Attach the front seat to the :VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

Vehicles Equipped with DVD Player Mount:

DVD player removed.

-- Unclip the trim -2- for the connector -arrow-.

WARNING:

Risk of eye injury.

Wear protective eyewear!

-- Drill out the guides -1 and 3- for the DVD player using a 12 mm diameter drill bit.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of destroying the backrest cover and cushion.

The guides are held in the backrest frame only by the locking tabs -arrows-.
When removing, drill out only up to dimension -a- = 35 mm.

Vehicles With Neck Heating:

-- Remove the neck heating vent. Refer to NECK HEATING VENTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Continuation For All Vehicles:

-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to BACKREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TWO PIECE .

-- Remove The Head Restraints:

Refer to HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, HEADREST WITH SLIDING LOCKING MECHANISM .
Refer to HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER HEADREST .

-- Remove The Backrest:

Standard seat and manual Sport seat. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD SEAT/SPORT SEAT/SUPER SPORT SEAT .
Standard Seat, Power Sport Seat and Comfort Seat. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER STANDARD SEAT .

-- Remove the entry assistance trim. Refer to ENTRY ASSISTANCE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, POWER .

-- Unclip the clips -5- from the backrest frame using the :80 - 200 .

-- Disengage the rear retaining channels -1, 2, 3 and 4- on the backrest frame using the :3370 .

-- Disengage the left and right rear straps -6- on the backrest frame.

-- Remove the cushion on the front seat backrest until the thorax airbag bolt is accessible. To do this, carefully pull the cover and cushion in the thorax airbag area as far as possible toward the front.

-- Remove the thorax airbag. Refer to FRONT THORAX AIRBAG WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the cover and cushion upward and off the backrest frame while removing the seat heating wiring harness.
