Backrest Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing, Standard/Sport Seat: Installing

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting a connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

Install in reverse order of removal and Note The Following:

-- Make sure the retaining channels engage correctly and the cover is not wrinkled.

Vehicles Equipped with DVD Player Mount:

The guide mounts -1 and 3- on the backrest must be free of contaminants.

-- Align the backrest cover and install the guides into the mounts.

The guides -1 and 3- can only be installed in one position.
The release buttons must face outward.

-- Install the trim -2-.

The trim can only be installed in one position.

NOTE:

Ignore the -arrow-.

Continuation For All Vehicles:

NOTE:

Make sure the connectors are installed all the way and engage audibly.

WARNING:

The ignition must be on when connecting the battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone in the vehicle interior when connecting the battery.

-- Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. Refer to BATTERY .

NOTE:

If the Airbag Indicator Lamp -K75- indicates a fault, check the DTC memory, erase it and check it again using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
