Installing The Reverse Gear Clutch

NOTE:

As a check, compare the thickness of the new adjustment plates with the thickness of the old adjustment plates performed previously. Refer to REVERSE GEAR CLUTCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SELECTING ADJUSTMENT PLATES . If the values of the old and new adjustment plates deviate too much from each other, then the measurement must be repeated.

All components must be cleaned thoroughly before inserting.

-- Insert the corrugated spring washer -6- into the guides -1- (quantity: 3) inside the transmission.

-- Insert the lower adjustment plate "E₁ " -2- into the guides inside the transmission.

-- Alternating with the same direction for each lining plate -3- and insert an outer clutch plate -5- into the guides in the transmission.

-- Insert the upper adjustment plate "E₂ " -4- first into the guides in the transmission.

-- Adjust the plates for the reverse gear clutch using a straight edge, for example.

The splines must line up exactly in one row.

-- Install the input shaft. Refer to INPUT SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
