Steering Intermediate Shaft, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Set the wheels to the straight ahead position.
-- Position the steering wheel as far down as possible using the full range of the steering column adjuster.
-- Turn the steering wheel to the center position (wheels are straight).
-- Move the driver seat forward to the stop.
-- Remove the bolt -2- and remove the steering intermediate shaft -3- from the steering column -1-.
-- Place the vehicle on a hoist.
-- Remove the rear noise insulation -arrow-.
-- Remove bolt -arrow-.
-- Remove the steering intermediate shaft -1- from the steering gear -2-.
WARNING:
- Danger of getting burned by the exhaust system depending on the engine installed.
-- Remove the protective boot on the straps -arrows- from the body.
-- Remove the steering intermediate shaft downward.
