Steering Column: Installing: Notes

Install in reverse order of removal. Note The Following:

If the steering column was replaced on a vehicle with the lock locking system, then use the bolt see step ) STEERING COLUMN OVERVIEW - Bolt already installed in the new steering column, for the electronic steering column lock control module.

Tightening specifications, refer to STEERING COLUMN OVERVIEW .

-- Clean the threaded hole (for example, using a thread tap) before installing the new bolt -2-.

After re-connecting the connector, -2- make sure the wiring harness -3- is secured by the clip -5-.
If the steering column needs to be adjusted, be careful not to pinch the wiring harness -3- for the electronic steering column lock control module -1- and that it does not come in contact with any sharp edges.
