Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, 2.0L TDI Diesel Engine: Removing

The Vacuum Pump Is Installed In The Engine Compartment Facing The Rear -arrow-.

-- Carefully remove the engine cover.

The plenum chamber bulkhead does not have to be removed.

-- Remove the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor -1- on the bracket.

-- Disconnect the wire -2- from the pressure sensor and carefully move it to the side.

-- Remove the pressure sensor bracket on the vacuum pump.

-- Remove the coolant pipe on the bracket and on the left engine transport strap and push it to the side.

-- Remove vacuum hose -1- from vacuum pump.

-- Remove all the bolts on the vacuum pump sealing flange.

-- Remove the vacuum pump from the mount.
