Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, 2.0L TDI Diesel Engine: Installing

NOTE:

Replace the seal.

Make sure the seal is correctly installed.

-- Position the vacuum pump tappet so it engages in the groove on the camshaft when vacuum pump is installed.

-- Insert the vacuum pump.

-- Make sure the seal is seated correctly.

-- Install and tighten all the bolts -arrows- on the vacuum pump sealing flange -item ) OVERVIEW - VACUUM PUMP - Bolt

-- Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump.

-- Install the coolant pipe into the bracket and to the left engine transport strap.

-- Install the diesel particulate filter pressure sensor bracket to the vacuum pump.

-- Tighten the bracket.

-- Install the pressure sensor lines into the bracket.

-- Tighten the pressure sensor -1-.

-- Install the engine cover.
