Brake Electric Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing, RS 5: Removing

NOTE:

The electric vacuum pump is located in the engine compartment on the left side.

-- Raise the vehicle.

-- Remove the left front wheel.

-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Disconnect the connector -3- to the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

-- Remove the bolt from the bracket -2- for the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

-- Unclip the secondary pump hose from the bracket for the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

-- Lower vehicle.

-- Remove the secondary pump hose from the bracket -4-.

-- Push the secondary pump hose to the side.

-- Remove the nut from the coolant pipe bracket.

-- Lightly push the coolant pipe to the side.

-- Remove the two bolts -1 and 5- from the bracket for the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

-- Unclip the vacuum hose to the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- from the brackets in the engine compartment.

CAUTION:

Be careful not to kink or damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.

-- Open the hose clamp on the vacuum hose using suitable pliers.

-- Pull the vacuum hose from the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192-.

-- Remove the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- with the bracket from the engine compartment.

-- Remove the Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- from the bracket.

-- Press the right and lift clips -arrow- out of the bracket by hand.

-- Remove the electrical vacuum pump upward while holding the rubber buffer securely.
