Mechanical Vacuum Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Check the sealing ring in vacuum pump -A- for damage. Replace the vacuum pump if the seal is damaged.

-- Turn the vacuum pump rotor so the flattened sides of the input shaft fit into the rotor.

-- Slide vacuum pump evenly all the way into the alignment hole in the cover.

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows- and connect the vacuum line -A-.
