Engine Oil Level, Checking With Gauge - Oil Gauge Tester:T40178

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required

Gauge - Oil Gauge Tester:T40178

Checking the engine oil level in the Infotainment display. Refer to appropriate service information.

Test Conditions

The engine oil temperature must be at least 60 °C (140 °F).
The vehicle is on level Ground.
After stopping engine, wait a few minutes to allow oil to flow back into oil pan.

Test Sequence

-- Loosen the knurled bolt -arrow- on the adjusting ring. Set the lower edge of the adjusting ring to 16 mm.

-- Install the oil Gauge tester all the way into the oil dipstick tube. Then pull it out and read the oil level again.

-- Read the value on the lower scale.
