Supercharger, Removing And Installing: Removing:

NOTE:

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the supercharger ribbed belt. Refer to SUPERCHARGER RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS6208  under engine.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows-, clamp off the coolant hoses with the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094  and remove them from the coolant pipes on the supercharger.

-- Remove the air guide pipe by removing the hose -1- and loosening the hose clamps -arrows-.

-- Disconnect the electrical connector -1- on EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80- and disconnect the vacuum hose -2- by pressing the release buttons.

-- Remove the EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80- from the bracket and lay it aside with the hose connected.

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- from the Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-.

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- on the Regulating Flap Control Unit -J808-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1, 2 and 3-.

NOTE:

Mark the vacuum hoses for reinstallation.

-- Disconnect the vacuum hoses -4 through 7-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- on the Intake Air Temperature Sensor -G42- / Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71-.

NOTE:

Ignore the -arrows-.

-- Free up the vacuum hose -1-.

-- Remove the screws -arrows- and remove the cover -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolts and nuts -arrows-. Remove the bracket -A-.

-- Loosen the mountings for the fuel pipe -arrows-. The fuel hoses remain connected.

-- Free up the brake booster vacuum hose -2- on the bracket -1-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the supercharger with the charge air coolers upward.

-- Seal off the openings on the supercharger and on the charge air circuit with the Engine Bung Set:VAS6122  .
