Ribbed Belt TENSIONER, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the engine compartment cover. Refer to ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front engine cover -1- upward.

-- Remove the bolt for the coolant pipe -1-. Ignore the -arrows-.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the bolts for the coolant pipes -1 through 3-.

-- Pivot the tensioner clockwise -arrow- to release the tension on the ribbed belt.

-- Remove the ribbed belt from the tensioning element and release the tension on the tensioner.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Push the coolant pipes aside and remove the ribbed belt tensioner -2- from the cylinder block.
