Rear Side Airbag, Removing And Installing: Removing

Always read the General Safety Precautions before working on airbags, belt tensioners and battery cut-out units (pyrotechnical components). Refer to AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER AND BATTERY CUT-OUT UNITS, GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Remove the 2/3 seat bench. Refer to BENCH SEATS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the 2/3 backrest. Refer to REAR SEATS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the outer trim from the 2/3 section. Refer to REAR SEAT OUTER TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the pass-through. Refer to PASS-THROUGH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the headrest from the 2/3 section. Refer to HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the headrest guides from the 2/3 section. Refer to REAR HEADREST GUIDES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear center belt end fitting. Refer to REAR CENTER BELT ANCHOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the cover and cushion from the 2/3 section. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST COVERS AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the wiring harness off the backrest and remove the screw -1- (9 Nm ).

-- Detach the airbag module -2- from the backrest.

-- Detach the airbag case from the airbag module.
