Right Cylinder Head Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the engine covers -arrows-.

-- Remove the air duct -arrows-.

-- Free up the fuel line -1- and the wire -2- to the EVAP canister at the air guide pipe.

-- Remove the vacuum hose -3- from the connection on the air guide pipe.

-- Remove the air guide pipe by loosening the hose clamp -4- and opening the clips -arrows-.

-- Disconnect the vacuum line -1-.

-- Remove the air filter housing and, if applicable, disconnect the electrical connector -2- on the rear side at the Intake Air Switch-Over Valve -N335-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- on the right cylinder head and disconnect the electrical connectors to the ignition coils.

-- Disconnect the connector -5- on the Camshaft Position Sensor 3 -G300-.

-- Press the connector release catches and disconnect the connector -1- on the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205- and Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-.

NOTE:

The Connecting Bracket -3- On The Camshaft Adjustment Valve Connectors -1- And -2- Prevents Them From Being Exchanged And Must Not Be Removed From Them.

-- Press the electrical wiring harness to the side.

-- Remove the ignition coils using the Puller - Ignition Coil:T40039  .

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -arrow- by pressing the release buttons.

-- Remove the bolts in a -12 to 1- sequence and remove the right cylinder head.

USA Vehicles: 

-- Remove the bolts in the following sequence -12 through 1- and lay the right cylinder head aside with the crankcase ventilation hose -arrow- connected.
