Camshaft, Measuring Axial Clearance: Procedure

-- Remove The Guide Frame. Refer To CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place Camshaft To Be Checked In Guide Frame.

-- Secure The Dial Gauge - 0-10 mm:VAS6079 with the Dial Gauge Holder:VW387 on the guide frame.

-- Press the camshaft against the dial gauge by hand.

-- Set Dial Gauge To "0".

-- Press Camshaft Off Dial Gauge And Read The Value:

Axial Clearance: 0.100 To 0.191 mm.
