Cylinder Head, Removing And Installing: Removing

• Engine/Transmission Assembly Removed And Placed On The Scissor Lift Table:VAS6131B  .

-- Remove The Affected Camshaft Timing Chain From Camshafts. Refer To CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .

-- Remove The Front Upper Coolant Pipe. Refer To FRONT UPPER COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect The Connectors:

1. On The Camshaft Adjustment Valve
2. On The High Pressure Pump
3. On The Camshaft Position Sensor

-- Remove The Bolt -4- And Move The Electrical Wiring Harness To The Side.

-- Remove The Bolts -Arrows- And The Bracket -1-.

-- Remove The Bolts -Arrows- And The Union Nuts -1 And 2- And Move The Fuel Supply Line To The Side.

-- Remove Bolts -1 And 2- And Remove The Chain Tensioner.

-- Disconnect The Vacuum Hose -2- And The Connector -1-.

-- Disconnect Electrical Connectors -Arrows- On Fuel Injectors.

-- Right Cylinder Head: Disconnect The Connector -1- From The Fuel Rail.

-- Remove High Pressure Line -2- From Connector On Fuel Rail By Counterholding At Hex Head With An Open End Wrench And Loosening Union Nut.

-- Remove The Locking Bolt -arrow-.
