Bumper Cover, Removing And Installing, Except AUDI RS5: Removing

Fig 1: Disconnecting Electrical Connector

-- Remove the tail lamp. Refer to Tail Lamps .

-- Disconnect the electrical connector -1- on the Parking Aid Control Module -J446- if applicable.

-- Free up the electrical wiring harness on the control module bracket -arrow- by disconnecting the cable tie -2- .

-- Press the grommet -3- outward.

-- Remove the nut -2- .

-- Remove the bolts -1- on the lower bumper cover section.

-- Loosen the adjusting bolt by turning it to the left to then release the bumper cover retainer -3- .

-- Remove the left and right bolts -1- on the bumper cover side piece.

-- Remove the left and right bumper cover side pieces on the side panel -arrow- .

-- Remove the bumper cover -2- . The parking aid sensor electrical wire must be guided out through the body opening.

-- Free up the electric wiring harness spiral clips.

NOTE:

Use a soapy solution if necessary make removal easier.
