Oil Pump, Removing And Installing, Through VIN CAUA 003 685: Installing

Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - OIL PAN/OIL PUMP .

NOTE:

Replace The Gaskets And O-Rings.

-- Check if both alignment bushings for centering are in the cylinder block.

-- Tighten the oil pump -arrows-.

-- Unlock the :VAS6226 and let the driveshaft -1- slide into the oil pump.

-- Check if the driveshaft is friction locked to the oil pump by reaching into the oil pump intake opening -arrow- and trying to turn the pump gears.

Toothed gears must not be able to be rotated.

The rest of the installation is performed in reverse order of removal. Note The Following:

-- Install the coolant pump. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the oil pan lower section. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fill with engine oil and check the oil level. Refer to OIL LEVEL, CHECKING

-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING - Filling .
