Brake System, Checking For Leaks And Damage

Correct Any Malfunctions (Repair Procedure).

-- Check The Following Components For Leaks And Damages:

Brake master cylinder
Clutch slave cylinder (only with a manual transmission)
Brake booster
ABS hydraulic unit
Brake calipers

-- Check the entire length of the brake hoses and lines. Check for the following:

Check brake hoses for porosity, bubbles and cracks.
Check brake hoses and lines for chafing.
Check brake line connections and mounts for proper seating, leakages and corrosion.

Make sure the brake hoses do not touch any vehicle components or get twisted when steering is at full lock.
