To repair a faulty seat heater a new seat heating element is bonded directly on the faulty seat heating element.
Exception: On a front passenger seat with passenger occupant detection system (market-specific for example USA) the complete service kit, composed of seat cushion with heater and sensors as well as control module, must be replaced, refer to PASSENGER OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
