Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188-, Removing And Installing: Removing

• The engine is cold.

-- Reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system: cover the coolant expansion tank cap -arrow- with a cloth then carefully open quickly and then close.

-- Remove the noise insulation -1-. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

Version 1: Vehicles With Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188-

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- To catch escaping coolant place a clean cloth under the separation point.

-- Clamp off the coolant hoses with the :3094  .

-- Loosen the clamps -2- and remove the coolant hoses.

-- Disengage the Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188- -1- from the retaining loops -4-.

Version 2: Vehicles With Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188-

-- To catch escaping coolant place a clean cloth under the separation point.

-- Clamp off the coolant hoses with the :3094  .

-- Loosen the clamps and remove the coolant hoses.

-- Remove the bolts -2- and remove the Charge Air Cooling Pump -V188-.
