Continue If The Valve Timing Is Correct

-- Remove the :3359  and :T10490  .

-- Turn the crankshaft two turns in direction of engine rotation until the crankshaft is just before "TDC" again.

-- Check the valve timing once again. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFT .

CAUTION:

- Never use the camshaft positioning tool as a counterholder.

-- If the camshaft driver can now be locked, tighten the camshaft toothed belt sprocket bolt -1- to the final tightening specification, to do so remove the : 3359  and counterhold the camshaft toothed belt sprocket using the : T10172A  and :T10172/11  .

-- Tighten the nuts -2- for the high pressure pump toothed belt gear all the way. Refer to OVERVIEW - HIGH PRESSURE PUMP . Use the :T10051  to do this.

-- Check the valve timing once again. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFT .
