Overview - Toothed Belt

- Bolt
Tighten in three steps:
- 1. Step 180 Nm
- 2. Step with a rigid wrench 90° additional turn.
- 3. Step with a rigid wrench 45° additional turn.
- Always replace after removing
- Loosen and tighten with Counterhold - Crankshaft Sprocket:3415
- Do not oil the thread and the collar
- Crankshafts - Toothed Belt Gear
- There must be no oil on the contact surface between the toothed belt sprocket and crankshaft
- Only possible to install in one position
- Nut
- 20 Nm
- Damper Roller
- Stud Bolt
- 15 Nm
- Replace only if damaged
- Nut
- 20 Nm + 45° turn
- Always replace after removing
- Tensioning Roller
- Stud Bolt
- 15 Nm
- Always replace only if damaged
- Toothed Belt
- Before removing, mark direction of rotation using chalk or felt-tip marker
- Check for wear
- Removing. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Installing (adjusting valve timing). Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Bolt
- 100 Nm
- Use the Counterhold - Multiple Use:T10172A with the Camshaft Lock:T10172/11 for loosening and tightening.
- Do not oil the thread and the collar
- Crankshaft Holder
- 9 Nm
- Camshaft Toothed Belt Gear
- There must be no oil on the contact surface between the toothed belt sprocket and camshaft
- Camshaft Carrier
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Damper Roller
- High Pressure Pump
- Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - HIGH PRESSURE PUMP .
- High Pressure Pump Stub
- Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - HIGH PRESSURE PUMP .
- There must be no oil on the contact surface between the hub and the camshaft toothed belt sprocket
- Toothed Belt Sprocket for the High Pressure Pump
- Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - HIGH PRESSURE PUMP .
- There must be no oil on the contact surface between the hub and the camshaft toothed belt sprocket
- Nut
- 95 Nm
- Do not oil the thread and the collar
- Counterhold with Counterhold - Camshaft Gear:T10051 to loosen and tighten.
- O-ring
- Always replace after removing
- Coat with coolant
- Coolant Pump
- Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- 20 Nm + 45°
- Always replace after removing.
- Tightening specification -item 11- OVERVIEW - COOLANT PUMP/THERMOSTAT .
