Overview - Cylinder Head Cover: Notes

  1. Seal
    • Replace if damaged or leaking
  2. Cylinder Head Cover
  3. O-ring
    • Always replace after removing.
  4. Plugs
  5. Bracket
    • For wires
  6. Bolt
    • 8 Nm
  7. Grommet
    • In the cylinder head cover
  8. Tensioning Claw
  9. Bolt
  10. O-ring
    • Always replace after removing.
  11. Hose
    • For the crankcase ventilation
    • For removal, press the release button

      Note for USA vehicles:

      • Risk of violating emissions legislation on USA vehicles.
      • Do not open the crankcase ventilation hose connection. Only the other side of the hose connection may be opened.
      • It is not possible to remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover without damaging it.
  12. Fuel Return Line
  13. O-ring
    • Always replace after removing.
  14. Fuel Injector
  15. O-ring
    • Always replace after removing.
  16. Heat Protection Seal
    • Always replace after removing.
  17. Seal
  18. Vacuum Hose
    • The connection can break when the vacuum hoses are removed.
    • To loosen the vacuum hoses tilt a screwdriver between the hose and the cover. The force of the screwdriver loosens the hose from the connection.

  20. Seal
    • For the cap
  21. Grommet
  22. Bolt
