High Pressure Line, Installing: Installing
- Clean the fuel line and the line connection before installing with detergent and dry it with compressed air.
- When using the high pressure line again, pay attention to the cylinder identification.
- The high pressure lines can be reused only after the following tests:
- Check the sealing cone on each high pressure line for the deformation and cracks.
- The holes for the lines must not be deformed, narrowed or damaged.
- Do not use corroded lines again.
Installation of the high pressure lines under stress.
Risk of damaging the high pressure lines.
- Loosen the high pressure reservoir and move it slightly if necessary in order to attach the fuel injection lines without any tension.
- The high pressure lines must not be bent or under stress.
- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions when working on the fuel supply system. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove any dirt from the sealing cone on the high pressure reservoir.
-- Coat the thread on the union nut with clean engine oil.
-- Tighten the high pressure line union nuts by hand, making sure they are seated without tension.
-- Tighten the high pressure lines on the high pressure reservoir with the :VAG1331 with the :VAG1331/6 or :T40055 .
-- Attach the balance -1- weight to the high pressure lines.
-- Perform a leak test on the fuel system. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM LEAK TEST .
-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
