Steering Column Switch Module, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Place the front wheels in a straight-ahead position - steering wheel in 0 position.

-- Adjust steering wheel downward and to rear as far as possible, use entire adjustment range of steering column adjustment for this.

-- Removing the steering wheel. Refer to STEERING WHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - STEERING WHEEL .

-- Remove the lower steering column trim. Refer to LOWER STEERING COLUMN TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

WARNING:

Risk of destroying electronic components with static discharge.

Before disconnecting connector, discharge static electricity from your body by touching an electrically grounded vehicle component such as the door latch striker pin.

-- Remove the connector lock -4-, press the release downward and disconnect the connector -3-.
