Power Take-Off Drive Chain, Removing And Installing: Removing
- Transmission removed. Refer to TRANSMISSION, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING , TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING or TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the lower timing chain cover. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
CAUTION:
Risk of destroying due to reversed running direction on a used drive chain.
- Paint arrows to mark the power take-off drive chain running direction so it can be installed again.
-- Press the tensioning rail in the direction of -arrow- and secure it with a :T40071 .
-- Remove the bolt -1- and remove the idler sprocket.
-- Remove the bolts -2, 3 and 4- and the chain tensioner.
-- Remove the power take-off drive chain.
