All Wheel Drive Clutch, Removing And Installing, AUDI Q3 With Generation V: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Remove the old O-ring -arrow- from the all wheel drive clutch.

-- Insert the new O-ring -arrow- and lightly lubricate with High Performance All Wheel Drive Clutch Oil.

-- Insert the all wheel drive clutch -1- in the rear final drive. Install : T10093  for exact guidance.

-- Rotate at flange/driveshaft -2- and insert all wheel drive clutch all the way in.

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows- to the tightening specification.

-- Connect the connector -B- from the All Wheel Drive Control Module -J492- -A-.

The connector -C- must be removed.

-- Attach the driveshaft to the rear final drive. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI Q3 (NOT AUDI RS Q3) .

-- Align the center bearing in the oblong holes so that neither the driveshaft nor the center bearing are under stress.

-- Reconnect exhaust system making sure it is not under stress. Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 01.2018), OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation III, As Of 12.2017), or OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 09.2016) .

-- Add High Performance All Wheel Drive Clutch Oil and check the oil level in the all wheel drive clutch. Refer to ALL WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH OIL LEVEL, CHECKING .
