Driveshaft Flange Seal, Replacing, Q3: Installing

-- Before installation, lightly coat the new sealing ring with the All Wheel Drive Clutch Oil on the outside circumference and between the sealing lips.

-- Drive in the new sealing ring to the stop using the : T10019  . Do not tilt the seal when doing this.

-- Install the flange/driveshaft using the : 30-20  .

-- Install and tighten new hex nuts using Locking Compound: D 000 600  . Tightening specification. Refer to -item  7- OVERVIEW - ALL WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH, GENERATION IV.

A - M10 x 20 bolt

B - M8 x 15 Bolt (installed in the : 3415  from the rear)

-- Install the rear flexible disc. Refer to REAR FLEXIBLE DISC, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the exhaust system and then align it making sure it is free of tension. Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 01.2018), OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation III, As Of 12.2017), or OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 09.2016)

-- Check the oil level in the all wheel drive clutch. Refer to ALL WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH OIL LEVEL, CHECKING .
