All Wheel Drive Clutch, Removing And Installing, AUDI Q3 With Generation IV: Removing
Risk of damaging decoupling elements
- Do not bend the decoupling elements in the front exhaust pipe more than 10°.
-- Separate the exhaust system at the clamping sleeve -arrow-.
-- Tie the front exhaust pipe to the underbody.
-- Remove the exhaust system rear section. Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 01.2018), OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation III, As Of 12.2017), or OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 09.2016) .
-- Remove the rear flexible disc. Refer to REAR FLEXIBLE DISC, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the harness connector -2- on the All Wheel Drive Control Module -J492-.
-- Place the : SMN372500 under rear the final drive.
-- Remove the drain plug -1- and completely drain the High Performance All Wheel Drive Clutch Oil.
-- Install the drain plug -1- with a new seal. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - DRAIN AND CHECK PLUGS .
-- Remove the fastening bolts -arrows- and remove the all wheel drive clutch from the rear final drive.
