Pinpoint Test O : The Fixed Guidelines Are Inoperative

- O1 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform a network test.
Do all modules pass the network test?
Yes GO to O2. No Module Communications Network . - O2 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any BCM DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Multifunction Electronic Modules . No GO to O3. - O3 CHECK THE DTCs FROM THE Trailer Module (TRM) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the Trailer Module (TRM) self-test.
Are any Trailer Module (TRM) DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Exterior Lighting . No GO to O4. - O4 CHECK THE LIFTGATE AJAR SWITCH PID
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, view the BCM PID : (DOOR_SW_LUGG)
- Monitor the PID while opening and closing the rear liftgate.
Does the PID agree with the liftgate position?
Yes GO to O5. No REFER to Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems . - O5 CHECK FOR CORRECT CAMERA OPERATION
- Connect all disconnected connectors.
- Disconnect the camera connector.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- damaged pins
- pushed-out pins
- Connect the camera connector and make sure it seats correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new rear camera. REFER to Video Camera - Expedition . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
