Pinpoint Test L : The Delayed Accessory Does Not Turn Off

NOTE:
Use the correct probe adapter(s) from the Flex Probe Kit when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
- L1 CHECK FOR STUCK/STICKING ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY
- Disconnect: Accessory Delay Relay.
Are the power windows still operative?
Yes GO to L3. No GO to L2. - L2 CHECK THE ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY
- Carry out the accessory delay relay component test.Refer to Component Testing .
Did the accessory delay relay pass the component test?
Yes GO to L4. No INSTALL a new accessory delay relay. TEST the system for normal operation. - L3 CHECK FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE IN THE ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT(S)
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: BCM C2280D.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure the voltage between BCM C2280D-27 , circuit CBP48 (GY/YE), harness side and ground; and for Navigator, also measure the voltage between BCM C2280D-17 , circuit CBP32 (GN/VT), harness side and ground.
Is any voltage present?
Yes REPAIR the affected circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. No GO to L4. - L4 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM OPERATION
- Disconnect all BCM connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion.
- pushed-out pins.
- Connect all BCM connectors and all other previously disconnected window components. Make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes BCM Hardware Testing . TEST the system for normal operation. No The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
