DTC B1572: Telephone Microphone Error [08/2013 - ]: Procedure

- CHECK DTC
- Turn the power switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Perform "Health Check" and check for current DTCs. Refer to HEALTH CHECK [08/2013 - ]

- INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE POWER SOURCE)
- Remove the roof console box assembly but do not disconnect the connectors. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

- Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition T11-4 (MACC) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 4 to 6 V Standard Resistance

OK: Go to next step
- Remove the roof console box assembly but do not disconnect the connectors. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) - ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the H101 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
- Disconnect the T11 roof console box assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H101-34 (MCI+) - T11-3 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω H101-35 (MCI-) - T11-2 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω H101-34 (MCI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H101-35 (MCI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H101-32 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY
- Replace the telephone microphone assembly with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

- Remove the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) but do not disconnect the connectors. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]

- REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)
- Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver). Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
.NOTE:
- The power switch must be off.
- Do not replace the DCM (telematics transceiver) with one from another vehicle.

- PERFORM PRL UPDATE
- Perform "PRL UPDATE". Refer to PRL UPDATE [08/2013 - ] .
