Overview - Timing Chain Cover: Notes

  1. O-ring
    • Always replace after removing.
    • Coat with oil before assembly
  2. Oil Dipstick Tube
    • Clipped in on the upper timing chain cover
  3. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  4. Left Coolant Pipe
  5. Bolt
    • Tightening sequence. Refer to Figure.
  6. Bolt
    • Steel bolt 9 Nm
    • Aluminum bolt 4 Nm + 45°
    • Always replace the aluminum bolt after removal
  7. Cam Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-
  8. Bolt
    • Steel bolt 9 Nm
    • Aluminum bolt 4 Nm + 45°
    • Always replace the aluminum bolt after removal
  9. Exhaust Cam Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-
  10. Seals
    • Always replace after removing.
    • Installation position: smaller inner diameter outward
    • Remove to replace the upper timing chain cover -item 13-  OVERVIEW - TIMING CHAIN COVER
    • Coat with oil before assembly
  11. Seal
    • Always replace if damaged
  12. Cap
  13. Upper Timing Chain Cover
  14. Seal
    • Always replace if damaged
  15. O-rings
    • Always replace after removing.
    • Coat with engine oil
  16. Alignment Pin
    • For centering the cover
    • Quantity: 2
  17. Bolt
    • Tightening specification and sequence with 15 bolts. Refer to Figure.
    • Tightening specification and sequence with 8 bolts. .
    • Always replace after removing.
  18. Lower Timing Chain Cover
  19. Seal
  20. Plugs
    • Always replace after removing.
