Seal On Bevel Box Between Transmission And Bevel Box, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143 
• Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143/1 
• Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143/2 
• Seal Installer - Bevel Box: T10298 
• Grease. Refer to the Parts Information.

Procedure 

-- Remove the bevel gear. Refer to BEVEL BOX, REMOVING .

-- Pry out the sealing ring on bevel box using the : T20143/1  or : T20143/2  .

-- Coat outer circumference and sealing lips of new seal with transmission fluid.

-- Fill the space between the sealing- and dust lip -arrow- half way with sealing grease; sealing grease. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Install the seal all the way in using the : T10298  . Be careful not to tilt it.

-- Install the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX, REMOVING .
