1. Bolts
   • Tightening Specifications:
     • Steel bolt 9 Nm 
     • Aluminum bolt 4 Nm +45° 
   • Aluminum bolt: Always replace after removal
2. Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-
   • Always replace the O-ring, refer to -item  9-.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT VALVE 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Seals
   • Always replace after removing
   • Coat with oil before assembly
4. Upper Timing Chain Cover
   • Removing and installing. Refer to TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE WITH TWO CAMSHAFT ADJUSTERS .
5. Seal
   • Always replace if damaged
6. Cap
7. Bolt
   • Tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
8. Seal
   • Always replace if damaged
9. O-ring
   • Always replace after removing
   • Coat with oil before assembly
10. Not Installed
11. Engine
12. Alignment Pins
    • Centering the cover
13. Lower Timing Chain Cover
    • With gasket
    • Replacing. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REPLACING .
14. Seal
    • For the vibration damper
    • Replacing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER SEAL, REPLACING .
15. Plugs
    • Always replace after removing
16. Bolt
    • Tightening specifications and sequence
      • With 15 bolts. Refer to Fig 3.
      • With 8 bolts. Refer to Fig 4.
    • Always replace after removing
17. O-ring
    • Always replace after removing
    • Coat with oil before assembly
18. Oil Dipstick Tube
19. Bolt
    • 9 Nm 
20. Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-
    • Always replace the O-ring, refer to -item  9-.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT ADJUSTMENT VALVE 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 6- in the sequence shown to 9 Nm.

• Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Tighten The Bolts In The Steps Shown In The Sequence (15 Bolt):
