Test Sequence: Notes

• Engine oil temperature at least 30 °C (86 °F). 
• Battery Voltage At Least 12.7 V. 

-- Remove the ignition coils. Refer to IGNITION COILS WITH POWER OUTPUT STAGES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connectors:

1. For the FSI Fuel Injectors in the Cylinder Head
2. For the MPI Fuel Injectors in the Intake Manifold

-- Remove the ignition coils with power output stages. Refer to IGNITION COILS WITH POWER OUTPUT STAGES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Spark Plugs with the :3122B  .

-- Install the :VAG1763/13  as shown in the respective spark plug hole and connect the :VAG1763  .

-- Check the compression using the :VAG1763  . Refer to the Operating instructions.

-- Press the accelerator pedal down all the way and operate the starter long enough until the tester no longer indicates an increase in pressure.

-- Repeat the procedure on each cylinder.
