Fuel Level Sensor -G-, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Observe the safety instructions. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT/FUEL LEVEL SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
With Front Wheel Drive (FWD), Without High-Voltage System:
-- Disconnect the connectors -1- on the sealing flange by unlocking the connector safety catch.
-- Disengage and free up the wires on the bracket -arrow-.
-- Release the tab on the retainers -3 and 4- and at the same time, remove the Fuel Gauge Sensor -G- -2- upward.
With Front Wheel Drive (FWD), With High-Voltage System:
-- Release the connector in direction of -arrow-, and disconnect the connector -1- on the sealing flange.
-- Disengage and free up the wires on the bracket.
-- Disconnect the retainers -2 and 3- on the tabs and at the same time remove the Fuel Gauge Sensor -G- upward.
Vehicles With 4-Cylinder Engines and All Wheel Drive (AWD):
-- Release the connector safety catch, and disconnect the connector -4- on the sealing flange.
-- Disengage and free up the wires on the bracket -arrow-.
-- Release the tab -1 and 2- on the retainers and at the same time remove the Fuel Gauge Sensor -G- -3- upward.
Vehicles With 5-Cylinder Engine:
-- Release the connector safety catch and disconnect the connector -2- from the sealing flange.
-- Disengage and free up the wires on the bracket.
-- Release the retainers -1 and 3- in direction of -arrows A- and press out the Fuel Gauge Sensor -G- upward in direction of -arrow B-.
