EVAP Canister, Removing And Installing, North AMERICAN Vehicles: Removing
-- Observe the safety instructions. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the right rear wheel housing liner. Refer to REAR WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles Without High-Voltage System:
-- Disconnect the ventilation lines -3- on the EVAP canister. Disconnect the connector couplings. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, DISCONNECTING .
-- Disconnect the connector -2- to release the connector safety catch.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
-- Pull the EVAP canister -4- downward from the mount and remove it.
-- To do so push in the hook with a screwdriver.
Vehicles With High-Voltage System:
-- Remove the bleeder line -2-. Disconnect the connector couplings. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, DISCONNECTING .
-- Disconnect the bleeder lines -3- on the EVAP canister. Disconnect the connector couplings. Refer to CONNECTOR COUPLINGS, DISCONNECTING .
-- Disconnect the connector -4- by unlocking the connector safety catch.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
-- Push the tabs -arrow- with a screwdriver and remove the EVAP canister -5- downward out of the retainers.
