Transmission Mount, Removing And Installing: Installing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

-- Secure the transmission support to the longitudinal member.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging threads in transmission support by inserting bolts at an angle.

  • The transmission support and the transmission support arm must be absolutely parallel to each other before installing the bolts. Push the rear of the transmission upward using a floor jack if necessary.
  • Remove the :10-222A  only when the bolts for the subframe mount have been tightened to the tightening specification.

-- Lift the transmission using the engine support bridge spindle until the transmission support touches the support arm.

-- Check the adjustment of the subframe mount. Refer to SUBFRAME MOUNT, CHECKING ADJUSTMENT .

-- Remove the :10-222A  from the engine. Refer to ENGINE, SUPPORTING IN INSTALLATION POSITION .

-- Install the Engine Control Module -J623-. Refer to Engine Control Module -J623-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY .
