Suction Jet Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing
Replace seals.
Make sure the fuel hoses are secure.
Pay attention when connecting the connectors that they are secure.
Be careful not to bend the floater arm on the fuel level sensor when installing it.
-- Slide the suction jet pump with the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- through the left opening and into the fuel tank.
-- Install the new locking flange seal -1-. The seal must be dry.
Risk of leaking.
- When inserting sealing flange, sealing ring must not be damaged or crushed.
-- Bring the locking flange into the installation position.
- The tab -2- on the locking flange must face the hole -arrow- in the rocking ring and between the tabs -3 and 4- on the fuel tank.
-- Push the locking flange downward against the spring force.
-- Insert the locking ring and fasten using the Wrench - Fuel Sending Unit:T10202 .
-- Carefully guide the fuel delivery unit with the fuel level sensor through the opening into the fuel tank.
-- Reach through the opening in the fuel tank, install the delivery line on the fuel delivery unit until it clicks into place and attach the suction jet line -1- until it audibly locks.
Equipment Levels with Parking Heater:
-- Reach through the opening in the fuel tank, install the delivery line on the fuel delivery unit until it clicks into place and attach the suction jet line -1- until it audibly locks.
Continuation For All Vehicles:
-- Install the new locking flange seal -1-. The seal must be dry.

- The tab -2- on the locking flange must face the hole -arrow- in the rocking ring and between the tabs -3 and 4- on the fuel tank.
-- Push the locking flange downward against the spring force.
-- Insert the locking ring and fasten using the Wrench - Fuel Sending Unit:T10202 .
-- Attach the fuel lines so that they audibly latch.
-- Press the fuel supply lines on again and pull on them to make sure the connector coupling is engaged correctly.
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
-- Install the rear bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- After installing fuel delivery unit, fill vehicle with at least 5 liters of fuel.
