Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2 -G448-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and Note The Following: 

-- The thread on the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2 -G448- is coated. It must NOT be coated with additional hot bolt paste.

• Protect the exhaust gas temperature sensor against knocks and impacts. A dropped exhaust gas temperature sensor may not be used again.

Vehicles Without SCR System:

Installation position for the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2 -G448- :

• The angled shaft -1- must point upward vertically.

Vehicles With SCR System:

Installation position for the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2 -G448- :

• Angle α = 80°. 

Continuation For All Vehicles: 

-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
