Entry Assistance Release Cable A, Removing And Installing: Removing
- Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING WITH PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS .
- Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.
-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fasten the front seat on the :VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .
-- Move the front seat into its highest position.
-- Remove the tunnel-side seat side trim. Refer to SEAT SIDE TRIM ON TUNNEL SIDE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Turn the backrest adjustment hand wheel forward until stop.
-- Unclip the cable A support bracket -1- from the backrest.
-- Disengage the release cable A -item 2- from the lever on the backrest hinge.
-- Disengage the cable A bracket -1- for entry assistance from the support bracket on the seat pan.
-- Unclip the bracket -2- for the release cable from the seat pan.
-- Disengage the release cable A from the seat longitudinal adjuster -arrow- and remove.
