1. Cylinder Head Gasket
   • Replacing, refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Installed position: the part number faces the cylinder head
   • Change the coolant and engine oil after replacing
2. Cylinder Head
   • Removing and installing, refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Check for distortion, refer to Fig 3
   • Reworking dimension, refer to Fig 4
   • Change the coolant and engine oil after replacing
3. O-Ring
   • Replacing
4. Front Coolant Pipe
   • Removing and installing, refer to FRONT COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
5. Bolt
   • Tightening specification, refer to -Item 22- in OVERVIEW - COOLANT PIPES .
6. Bolt
   • 22 Nm
7. Engine Lifting Eye
8. Bolt
   • Replacing
   • Loosening sequence, refer to Figure
   • Tightening specification and sequence, refer to Fig 2.
9. Bolt
   • 22 Nm
10. Engine Lifting Eye
11. Bolt
    • Replacing
    • Loosening sequence, refer to Figure
    • Tightening specification and sequence, refer to Fig 2.
12. Oil Screen
    • Clean

-- Tighten the bolts in steps in the sequence shown:

-- Check the cylinder head at several locations for distortion using a Straight Edge - 500 mm VAS 6075 and a feeler gauge.

• Maximum permissible warpage: 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.).

Resurfacing cylinder head (face grinding) is only permissible to minimum dimension -a-.

• Minimum dimension -a- = 139.5 mm (5.492 in.)
