Overview - Crankshaft

NOTE:

This overview is ONLY for the 1.6L engine.

The removal and installation of the crankshaft for 2.0L engines is NOT possible at this time.

  1. Cylinder Block
  2. Bearing Shell
    • For cylinder block with oil groove
    • Always replace any worn bearing shells
  3. Toothed Belt Sprocket
    • For oil pump drive
    • Not available separately as replacement part
  4. Bearing Shell
    • For bearing cap without oil groove
    • Always replace any worn bearing shells
  5. Bolt
    • 65 Nm + 90° turn
    • Always replace after removing
    • Use old bolts to measure radial play.
  6. Bearing Cap
    • Bearing cap 1: Belt pulley side
    • Bearing cap 3 with notches for thrust washers
    • Installed position: Bearing shell retaining tabs in cylinder block and in bearing cap must align
  7. Thrust Washer
    • For bearing 3
    • There are different versions of the cylinder block and bearing caps.
    • Pay attention to the locating point
