Turbocharger, Removing And Installing [CRBC, CRLB, CLHA, CRBD, CUNA, CRKB, CRUA, CRLC, CXXB, DBKA, DBGA, DEJA, DEJB, DGCA, DCYA, DDYA]: Removing
-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front exhaust pipe. Refer to FRONT EXHAUST PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING WITHOUT Cooling System Charge Kit - Electric Vacuum Pump .
-- Remove the rear coolant pipe. Refer to REAR COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left coolant pipes. Refer to LEFT COOLANT PIPES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- If installed: Disconnect the vacuum hose -arrow- and free it up.
- Do not open the hose connection on the crankcase ventilation.
- Do not open the crankcase ventilation hose connection -1-. Only the other side of the hose connection may be opened.
-- Free up the vacuum hose on the air guide pipe -arrows-.
-- Remove bolt -2- and tilt the air guide pipe with the intake tube backward and remove from the turbocharger.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the resonator -1-.
- Use the : T40207
to disconnect the connector -5- in illustration "A26-11266". Disconnect the securing pin on the connector housing -1- in direction of -arrow-.
-- Push the heat shield boot aside, and disconnect the connector -5-.
-- Loosen the clamp -3- and remove the air guide hose.
-- Loosen the clamp -4- and remove the coolant hose.
-- Remove the bolt -1- using the :T10501 , and loosen bolt -2-.
AWD Vehicles
-- Remove the exhaust gas recirculation. Refer to EGR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
All Vehicles
-- Open the heat protection sleeve -1-.
-- Remove the connector -5- from the mount, disconnect, and free up the wires.
-- Disconnect the connectors -3 and 6- and free up the wiring harness.
-- Disconnect the connector -4- for Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1 -G235-.
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
-- Lay the bracket with the differential pressure sensor(s) to the rear.
-- Loosen the clamp -1- and remove the coolant hose.
-- Loosen the bolt -2-, remove bolt -3- and pivot the coolant line to the side.
-- Disconnect the connectors and free up the wires.
- For Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 4 -G648-
- For Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495-
- For Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 2 -G448-
-- Remove the connector for the Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39- -4- from the bracket, disconnect it and free up the wire.
Vehicles with Engine Codes CRUA and DEJA:
-- Remove the connector -2- for the EGR Temperature Sensor -G98- from the retainer, disconnect it and free up the wire.
-- Remove the connector -4- from the mount, disconnect, and free up the wires.
-- Loosen the hose clamp -1-.
-- Free up the coolant line -3- and the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) lines -2-.
-- Remove the Reducing Agent Injector -N474- and lay it to the right side.
Vehicles with Auxiliary Heater
-- Lift the clamp -1-, open the hose clamp -3-, and remove the coolant hose.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and the coolant pipes.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Open the clamp -1- with the :T10501 and position on the emissions control module entrance funnel.
-- Loosen the double bolt -2-, push the coolant pipe slightly toward the rear.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, push the emissions control module and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) radiator rearward.
-- Remove the bolt -2- and union nut -4-.
- Do not bend the oil supply line.
-- Remove bolts -3 and 5- and the oil return pipe.
Ignore item -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -1, 2, 3 and 4- and remove the bracket for the emissions control module.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the heat shield -1-.
-- Remove the vacuum hose -2- from the turbocharger vacuum diaphragm.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows-, and remove the turbocharger and exhaust manifold from the cylinder head upward.
