Mass Airflow Sensor -G70-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Observe the following to ensure the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- functions correctly.
- If the air filter element is very dirty or soaked, dirt particles or moisture may have contaminated the mass airflow sensor and may be causing false mass airflow values. This results in reduced performance, since a lower injection quantity is calculated.
- Always use an original air filter element.
- Always replace damaged gaskets (leaked air).
- Use a silicone free lubricant when installing the air guide hose and seal.
- The hose connections as well as air duct pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.
- Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that match the ones used in series production. Refer to the Parts information.
-- Check the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- and air duct hose (intake air side) for salt residue, dirt, and leaves.
-- Check the intake channels up to the air filter for dirt. If any contaminants are discovered, clean the air filter housing upper and lower section of salt residue, dirt and leaves. Wash or vacuum if necessary.
-- To install the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- -2- position and turn in direction of -arrow A-.
-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
